By definition, corporal punishment in the home is a physical method used by parents to teach or punish their children. It involves hitting, spanking, and caning. Although already prohibited in 42 countries, such as Sweden, this action is still common in many other countries like Afghanistan. This issue was often found before the 1950s. It is less common these days after many efforts from people who care about treating children as equals, such as Benjamin Spock, who published a book on this topic to raise awareness in 1946. I believe that even if this issue has become less common than it was before, this issue should not just be easily ignored.
