Parents expect their children to become high achievers in examinations which can cause anxiety and stress in children. What is your opinion regarding this matter?
The truth is, exams don’t define someone’s life. It’s good to pass with flying colours, but that doesn’t mean you’ll land the position of a CEO in a fortune 500 company. Therefore, I personally think that parents should encourage their children to do their best, but not force them to excel in examinations. That way, children will have a happier childhood as compared to the many cases in which students with brilliant minds became stressed and depressed, which ultimately led to self-harming and death. Positive stress to boost your grades is good, but negative stress will break you.
